The shelter at the Ak-Jurok crisis center in Osh was founded in 2009 and has served 452 women since its foundation. Our shelter is designed for women and children who have been subjected to family and sexual abuse and has the capacity to accommodate up to 12 people. Although the shelter can take up to 12 people, simultaneously only 3-4 women can stay since most of the time they come to us with their children. 

Our professional team helps women and children reduce stress and shame stemming from their past experience and fight further: they are provided with timely psychological, legal and social support.  The shelter provides women and children with three meals a day, hygiene products, clothing and safe haven for the period of 12-18 days.
